Yesterday was probably the saddest day for all the sportsmen and athletes of Nepal. One of the football legends of our nation who goes by the name Mani Bikram Shah passed away during a treatment at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu.
The officials of the hospital informed that the soccer legend died due to liver failure.
It was back in 1985 where Mani Bikram Shah had debuted in the 2nd South Asian Games which was held in Dhaka. He was 17 years old at that time. Widely known as ‘Nepali Maradona’, Shah went on to become a prominent and influential player of the team that helped Nepal win the only gold medal in 6th South Asian Games in 1993. After playing for about 12 years, he finally announced his retirement in 1997.
Rest In Peace legend.
