The local council of Sydney has awarded a Nepali restaurant of Syndey with ‘Excellence Award’.

Located at Kingsford, Sydney, the Nepali eatery named Niji Sushi Bar has won the best restaurant of the year 2017, i.e. the excellence award.

The award is given away once in every two years and the Nepali restaurant became the best among all the shortlisted eateries this time around.

The award was distributed last Wednesday in an special event organised at the Randwick Racecourse.

The operator of the restaurant Mr Raj Khanal received the honor from Lindsay Sauri, the mayor of Randwick City Council.

Wondering how a Nepali man won the award for the best restaurant in Sydney for a Japanese dish he serves?

To make the things clear, Mr Khanal worked in a Japanese restaurant for 5 years and all his experience came into work to leave 27 other eateries behind to win the excellence award…

Isn’t that a great news, at least for Nepalis in Australia who want to start their own business?
