I’m pretty much sure that something like this is not what you want to hear early in the morning, but it’s something that we shouldn’t ignore at all. Hari Prasad Rimal, who was the first person to sing on the radio in Nepal has sadly passed away earlier this morning at his Baneshwor located residence. He was 93.
According to Rimal’s family, his body will be kept at his home till 10 AM on Friday, and then it will be taken to Pashupatinath for cremation.
Also known as the father of Nepali Radio Drama, Rimal has acted in movies like ‘Aama’, Manko Badh’, K Ghar k Dera’, ‘Santan’, and in dramas ‘Bhimsen Ko Antya’, ‘Mukunda Indira’.
Rest in peace legend.
